CKEditor is and has always been an Open Source product. We are proud to be a part of the [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Open_source Open Source] movement and are happy that we can offer the result of long hours of our work '''completely for free''' to everyone who wants to use the editor.

We managed to [http://cksource.com/ build a company] based on the success of our free editor. We can not accept donations for our work, so the development of the editor is paid by the commercial licenses that are available.
