Testing and Shaping It Up

This website contains links to software which is either no longer maintained or will be supported only until the end of 2019 (CKFinder 2). For the latest documentation about current CKSource projects, including software like CKEditor 4/CKEditor 5, CKFinder 3, Cloud Services, Letters, Accessibility Checker, please visit the new documentation website.

If you look for an information about very old versions of CKEditor, FCKeditor and CKFinder check also the CKEditor forum, which was closed in 2015. If not, please head to StackOverflow for support.

Once you have your skin working in the way you want in one browser, it is time to test it on others. For that, just open a CKEditor sample with your skin on other browsers. Check out the CKSource GBS for the list of browsers supported by CKEditor.

Other things to test among all browsers are:

  • Add config.language='he'; to the CKEditor config.js file to load the editor in Hebrew and see the editor in RTL.
  • Enable High Contrast on Windows (SHIFT+ALT+PRINT-SCREEN) and reload the page.
  • Play with the the UI Color sample to check the chameleon feature.
